L’ouvrage propose une réflexions sur la coopération public-privé en matière de politique criminelle. Il s’insère dans le programme de recherche mené par Maxime LASSALLE, membre du CREDIMI, sur « La privatisation de la politique criminelle » (projet PANOPTIQUE financé par la région Bourgogne Franche-Comté).
Maxime LASSALLE, cheville ouvrière de cet ouvrage, a participé à la rédaction de recommandations adressées à la Commission européenne.
